The people who lead the room
Camps and Healing Hearts groups run because someone shows up prepared, week after week, camp after camp. Facilitators are that someone.
Camp Facilitators lead the on-the-ground experience of a Men Molding Men Camp — running the daily schedule, guiding boys through the 15 core themes across the 4-camp journey, and working alongside mentors to keep each camp safe, structured, and genuinely transformative. It’s a step up from mentoring: less one-on-one, more programme leadership.
What the role involves
Running camp sessions against the theme curriculum, coordinating with mentors and camp logistics (meals, safety, transport), leading devotions and teaching moments, and completing post-camp reporting and evaluation.
Who this suits
Men who’ve already walked the mentor pathway and are ready to help run a camp rather than attend one — comfortable holding structure for a group of boys and a team of mentors at once.
A Healing Hearts facilitator is a Christian volunteer with a heart for walking alongside single mothers. Facilitators lead a group of single mothers through the nine-session Healing Hearts programme, creating a safe and supportive environment in which the participants can experience emotional and spiritual healing. You do not need to be a coach or have special training — just a desire to serve. Facilitators are empowered through instruction on how to facilitate the Healing Hearts programme, and each session is fully stipulated in the Facilitator’s Manual, which provides the format, content, Scripture references, discussion questions, and time allocations for every meeting.
What the role involves
Facilitating group sessions against the Healing Hearts curriculum with care and confidentiality, guiding moms through the nine-session journey, and keeping attendance and session notes for each group.
Who this suits
Women with a pastoral or counselling instinct — ideally moms who’ve walked the Healing Hearts journey themselves and are ready to hold that space for someone else.
Qualities and Requirements of a Facilitator
Facilitators do not need professional counselling or coaching experience — only a heart to serve, a willingness to pray, and a desire to walk alongside single mothers as they pursue healing and restoration. A facilitator should be, or have:
A committed Christian, actively involved in a local church
A basic understanding of Scripture
A positive and encouraging attitude
A willingness to pray for the participants
Strong listening skills
Compassion for single mothers and their families
Integrity and a commitment to confidentiality
Good organisational skills
A desire to help, support, and encourage others
